The fascinating thing about travel adventures is first, that it is exciting and breathtaking and allows everyone to discover new locations, cultures, and landscapes. It involves taking a break from one's comfort zone, seeking new things, and engaging oneself in new circumstances. Travel activities provide a unique opportunity to challenge boundaries and create unforgettable experiences, and memories whether hiking through deep jungles or trekking across the mountains. Travel adventures can also provide opportunities for personal development by challenging people to overcome anxieties, adjust to new circumstances, and develop a sense of independence and resilience. From hiking across different places to beautiful road journeys, travel activities provide a sense of freedom and discovery that may be significantly transforming.

Gorina Kunang Osel Ling is located in the Paro district. It is considered one of the sacred places which is established by 25th Je Khenpo Sherub Gyaltshen. During our summer trip toward Gorina, we discovered new cultures and landscapes. It was 4 hour's walk from the Paro. It was my first time camping and trekking with my friends and we spent three days at Gorina. The hospitality of Gorina was awesome. The scenario from Gorina is amazing as, from that place, different places like Paro Takshang- Tiger's Nest Monastery, Dakarpo, Sangay Chokhor, Jela, and the location of Paro town can be seen majestically.

The monastery is a three-house storage where the main inner or sacred objects are the body of the 25th Je Khenpo Je Sherub Gyaltshen itself, the stupas of Guru Rinpoche, and Zhabdrung Rinpoche. It has a long history as a monastery and for hundreds of years, the monastery has not been rebuilt/reconstructed as they want to preserve the relics of Je Sherub Gyaltshen. Today also the monastery can be seen as newly-constructed. However, due to natural calamities like earthquakes, parts of the relics, and structures were destroyed. There were about 35 monks (ranging from 9-13 years old) including their teachers. Unfortunately, we could not help the young monks financially as 15 of them are in orphanages, and due to that, their relatives enrolled them as monks instead of sending them to schools. The monks were well-disciplined.

Looking back on my journey toward Gorina, the knowledge and insights gained have made me more sensitive, and allowed me to appreciate the time I have spent more effectively. Moreover, I have discovered new landscapes, learned about different cultures on my way, things to be done during hiking, and trekking, and most importantly I appreciate the hospitality they serve to their guest.
